Long considered one of Illinois' most haunted locations, the Original Springs Hotel in Okawville, Illinois has been the scene of dozens of reports of strange encounters and eerie happenings! Join American Hauntings at the old hotel and experience them for yourself! Spend the entire night looking for the ghosts of this historic -- and very haunted -- hotel with a limited number of ghost hunters during a private ghost hunt. Find out if the place is really as haunted as so many people claim! 

We have created packages for two people which includes dinner for two, overnight accommodations at the hotel, the history and hauntings of the location and then a ghost hunt that lasts as late as you want it to go!

ABOUT THE ORIGINAL SPRINGS HOTEL:

Opened in 1885 to take advantage of the discovery of healing mineral waters beneath the town of Okawville, the Original Springs Hotel has enjoyed a long and colorful history in downstate Illinois. Catering to the needs of those who came seeking out the mysterious waters, the hotel has seen thousands of visitors over the years and many of them have left a tangible presence behind! A number of deaths have occurred in the hotel over the years, including the suicide of Ben Scheirbaum, the son of former owners, who killed himself over a bad marriage. Another former owner, Tom Rogers, was found dead in the closed down hotel in March 1962.

 Suicides, gangsters, deaths and the unexplained properties of the water have all combined to make this one of the most intriguing locations in Illinois -- not to mention one of the most haunted!
